It’s been a while since I’ve done much writing here, but the early season results are coming in and it is time to share
.
The PhysFarm professionals are already on the march this season, showing that the great results of last season were no flash in the pan. Last weekend, 2008 70.3 World Champion and World Record Holder Joanna Zeiger rocked Florida’s Great Escape with a convicing win. Coming out of the water just 15 seconds behind the leader, she took the lead a few minutes into the bike and never looked back. Also, I’m excited to report that 3 x Duathlon World Champion Catriona Morrison crushed the field at the Duathlon de Aguiles, in sunny Spain. It went down pretty much as expected, with Cat remaining conservative on the first leg, then using her superb bike fitness to drop the leaders (including the reigning women’s European Champion), and then extend the lead on the second run. A nice early season win for Catriona.

Meantime, the PhysFarm Age Grouper’s are holding their own. Congrats to Colleen Capper, who PR’ed her early season half-marathon performance in California a couple of weeks back. Colleen will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming months.
